The City of Vancouver’s Community Youth Workers are looking for a youth between the ages of 13 and 18 to design a poster for 2017’s Youth Week Dance event. The poster will be printed and posted at 20 Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation Community Centres, Neighbourhood Houses and Vancouver School Board Secondary Schools. In addition, it will be posted on social media sites including the Vancouver Youth Week 2017 Facebook page and City of Vancouver Youth Services website.

Sub...missions are due November 30, 2016 will be reviewed in December 2016. The Youth Week Committee and the City-Wide Youth Council will be reviewing the submissions. The selected artist will be contacted in January 2017 for any final revisions required on the poster.

The below will detail the event and what needs to be included on the poster.

The poster should reflect fun, positivity and inclusivity. Slang, profanity, images of drugs and alcohol should not be used.

• 11” x 17” PDF of the poster to be emailed to by November 30.
(The size of images used for the poster should be in high resolution – posters may be printed up to 33” x 55”)
• Original files for the poster – Poster should be created in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator (the package can be uploaded to Google Drive or Dropbox if it is too big to send via e-mail).

• $200 honourarium for the artist selected
• Large size of the printed poster
