The staff were friendly and helpful. We sat upstairs looking out the window which was lovely. Place could do with a bit of work to make it better. It felt quite... old and run down. Tables were sticky.

Visited yesterday with friends, they have been many times but for us a first. Fabulous selection of delicious burgers, pizzas and cakes. I had BBQ chicken style burger with sweet potato fries... others Elvis burger and chips. Massive portions, very friendly service and great value.

We are very sad to say that our amazing head chef, Jon, will be leaving VBites in the new year. So we have an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in becoming our new Head Chef. Our current kitchen staff are fully trained and experienced so the head chef will focus on maintaining food standards, organising kitchen paperwork, managing stock and delegating tasks among the team. You will work with myself (Jasper) and our floor manager (Rosie) in developing new menus based ...on vegan alternatives to meat or vegetarian dishes and have regular challenges such as food competitions and events to organise and oversee.
General duties include:
- Food preparation and service
- Stock management and ordering
- Monitoring of kitchen records and schedules
- Development of dishes for seasonal menus and specials
- Staff management and training
- Daily cashing up
- Opening and locking up
Previous head chef or sous-chef experience is essential.
