Happy Halloween Ventura! If out and about tonight, please:
🔥 Be sure all costumes are flame resistant
🎃 Use battery powered candles to light jack-o-lanterns with kiddos nearby
🚗 Cross the street only at a designated crosswalk
🚒 If you see a firefighter, say “thank you!”
We have a great team of Ventura firefighter paramedics on call tonight. Please help us help you by making safety a priority this evening!
When Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 1, our clocks "fall back" and we gain an extra hour of sleep! This is also the perfect time to check the batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
We encourage you to review the tips below for added home protection as we approach fire season:
🍁 Smoke alarms should be installed in every bedroom, hallways leading to bedrooms, and at least one on every floor of the home. ...
🍁Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years.
🍁Smoke alarms with replaceable batteries should be changed regularly.
🍁 Smoke Alarms with non-replaceable batteries should be good for 10 years, but not more.
Happy Friday Ventura!
