We’re seeing quite of few remakes and remasters pop up which are making video gamers everywhere very happy. However, one remake that was announced back at E3 2015 is still under heavy development. And while we’ve gotten updates, we still don’t have a release date for the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
With Smash Bro now confirmed to come to the Switch in 2018, it’s now safe to start thinking about what the roster will look like. Who do you want to see included and/or brought back?

For the Gran Turismo fans out there, Polyphony Digital, the developer of Gran Turismo 6, has decided to shut down the online servers for Gran Turismo 6. What this means is that you can no longer access any of the online features of the game, such as the Community, Quick Match, etc. Also, if you had previously purchased credits, make sure you reclaim them if you uninstalled the game, because those will also be permanently be lost after the shut down. Finally, the track editor on Google Play and the App Store will no longer be able to transfer tracks to the base game after the server shut down. The single player will still be available to play though, meaning you don’t have to hang up the driving gloves just yet.
The Strong Museum has announced the 12 games up for this year’s World Video Game Hall of Fame including Minecraft, Metroid, Tomb Raider and Call of Duty. What do you think?
I only just recently got ahold of Dying Light, even 3 years after release, but the game still felt fresh to play, even after playing new releases with extensive levels of detail. Now, Techland, the developer of Dying Light, will be introducing a new Battle Royale mode as apart of a new update called “Bad Blood”. I personally am getting tired of all the Battle Royale games popping up, but since I had such a fun experience with Dying Light single player AND coop, I am willing to give this a try.
Far Cry 5 has been out for just about a week now, what do you all think? Does this review help shape your opinion on the game?
Spiderman is one of the most highly anticipated PS4 exclusives coming out in 2018 and we now have a release date and more information!
Final Fantasy XV was a great title when it released back in 2016, but with the new release of the Royal Edition/Windows edition, it only keeps getting better! The Royal Edition is the “Complete Edition” for the title, and it adds all current DLC (Episode Prompto, Gladiolus, Ignis, and the Multiplayer Expansion). It also adds some new content not featured in the original base game, such as more endgame content, like a new challenging dungeon, new cutscenes which add that much more to the somewhat lackluster ending, and a few more bits here and there. You can either purchase the Royal Edition as a whole game purchase, or buy the Royal Edition upgrade (note that the upgrade does not include the DLC).
Are you an open world video game fan like me? Are you a Star Wars fan? The great news for you! EA is developing an open world Star Wars game. It’s in the early stages but an open world Star Wars should be pretty interesting!
Call of Duty has had a track record for having some of the most popular FPS multiplayer modes in the history of gaming. But what if that were to change? With the announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be remastered some time this year, Activision has confirmed that there will be no multiplayer mode in this remaster. Although this is absolutely a shocker, it was kind of expected. In comments by Activision, the starting price of the title will be $25, which for a popular triple A title, seems a little too cheap. Let’s just hope that they do not try to release a multiplayer mode as an add-on DLC in the future, like zombies mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
For all the God of War fans out there, with the upcoming release in the series, God of War will be directing its sights from the usual Greek mythology, to Norse mythology. It’s a drastic change, but it could mean great things for the series. Instead of fighting Zeus, could we be squaring off against Thor, Loki, or maybe Odin? Maybe we could even go to locations such as Asgard? We may get an answer as the developers have confirmed that the future of God of War will be looking to stay on the path of Norse mythology for a while. Read more about it here!
