IT'S TIME TO GO AGAIN
Many days will go by, when you don't feel ready, you don't feel right and you don't know what your next move will be.

Sometimes those days turn into weeks and those weeks turn to months. You try to find meaning in your inability to act or make a move, you try to find hope as the days slowly pass you by.

...

You feel the fire within you, you know you are capable of much more. But you are trapped, paralysed by your own circumstances, your own state of mind and your past wounds.

You try to rise up, you fight yourself and you fight everything that the universe presents you, because somewhere along the line you have refused to let go, to move on and accept that your time will come.

You may be licking your wounds, healing your soul or simply going through the motions before that distinct feeling of pure inspiration comes upon you and flows through your heart and soul with the intensity of lava bursting out the top of the most ferocious of volcanos.

You wake up, before the sun has even begun to rise and your mind, your body and your spirit sends you one message:

"It's time to go again."

And in that moment, you suddenly feel the weight of your fears, your doubts and the pain you've been carrying, leave your being as you embrace your true power within.

You feel the fire burning brighter than it ever has before. You find a deep sense of peace within your own soul, that one can only find through certainty. The fog has gently lifted and for the first time you are able to see with great levels of clarity and hope.

You feel alive once more, you see things for what they can be, not what they could have been. You know now, that you have been on a journey of the soul and have learnt many lessons that will serve you well on the next stage of the journey.

You realize that your time has come. That you have the power to act and you are free to move forward with great certainty and with great faith.

The moments when you can't find a way, are the moments that prepare you for the way. Trust, that in due course you will find your power within and you will wake up one day and realize "it's time to go again..."

May that moment be upon you today.

There’s an old story about two young men.

Growing up, these two young men were very similar.

...

They both had above average intelligence, above average work ethic and above average grades.

After High School, they both left their small hometown and went off to college on opposite sides of the country.

25 years later, both of these men attended a High School reunion.

They were both married to beautiful women, lived in a nice home and great children.

However, there was one difference.

One man was a manager of a division of a multi-national company, while the other man owned the entire company.

This story was initially told in the Wall Street Journal over 30 years ago, but it went on to make a serious point:

In our lives, we have moments where we have a big decision to make. For many of you, that decision is whether or not to invest in your health.

It’s a big decision because you need to FULLY COMMIT in order to fully transform.

Right now, you’re standing at the crossroads.

Turn left, and in one year’s time your body will look almost exactly the same as it does today. You’ll have the same amount of muscle, the same level of leanness, the same feeling of confidence when you look in the mirror.

Or you can turn right…

[+] Turning right means you’ll pack on slabs of muscle faster than you have in years (you’ll be growing as quickly as you did when you first started working out)...

Lesson number 2: 45 minutes is not long enough to teach you what you needed to know in order to take action. So instead of telling you what to think, I have decided, after all of these years, to attempt to help you figure out how to think.

Lesson number 3: Information to solve a problem assumes you know what the question is. Most often information itself is worthless. You can acquire information for free by asking Siri a question as long as you know the right question to ask. BUT, you don't pay for information, you pay for wisdom.

A DAMAGED CAR WON’T FIX ITSELF

A car with a dented fender stays a car with a dented fender until the dent is pounded out. It’s true, after a while you don’t even notice the dent. It becomes part of the car, like the curve of the hood or the color of the paint. A look around reveals other cars, with dents.

Soon you begin to believe that that’s how cars were meant to be – dented. Don’t they come off the assembly line that way?

The point, obviously, is that we can become so used to our "dents" that they become indistinguishable from our character.

How many times you heard someone say: “Everyone in my family is overweight so this is who I am..I always had migraines so it is just the way it.”

We operate with them whether or not they help us. Rather than fix the dents, we frequently ignore them or work around them, sometimes torturously-whatever it takes to avoid arduous change.

But the cost of stasis is inevitably GREATER than the price of change.

[+] First, we have to understand by coming to terms with our origins; otherwise we can be hopelessly stuck in the past.

[+] Then asking what are we willing to do to change what doesn’t serve us.

[+] Also understanding that we have the ability to change if we wish to, and can act on it to the degree that we’re ready to do so.

The only way out is forward, even if it means with plenty of fear along the way.

Give that humans can live longer than one hundred years, why don’t more of us make it to that advanced age?

The nutritional value of food stated on the food packaging label refers to what's in the food - not what the body actually gets from it.

Your body is not a bank account or a calorimeter.

It's very complex and better described as a chemistry lab.

Eating foods with low nutrient quality, foods that you have a hard time to digest, foods that you are sensitive to, affects your body's chemistry - therefore affects stress, sleep, psychological state, and list goes on.

It's important to get rid off ideas like: "it's just 300 calories", "it's just two drinks" how bad can it be? Well, check in with your body, really see how it feels: hangover? Bloated? Tired? Stressed? Worn-out? Irritable? Half-sick? Illness? Injuries? Headache? Calories is not just calories, it is INFORMATION.

If you listen, your body will tell you. ..do you suffer from migraines, how often do you get sick each year? This is one of the ways our bodies communicates with us.

Your body is the only place you have to live, you can't replace it.

It should be your top priority.

The secret to getting ahead in life is to be consistent and to constantly keep moving forward no matter what's going on in your life and no matter how hard it may seem.

You have to stop focusing on the results and outcomes and all the glory and focus exclusively on making progress and improving yourself, your mindset and your skill set each and every day!

You study any successful person, in any pursuit or any industry and you will see a person who built themselves up over... years and decades before they even saw the first sign of success.

As I always say slow progress is always better than no progress...

So don't worry about not seeing results right now, because the truth is that if you commit yourself to making progress and improving yourself each and every day the results will come.

So keep going and remember life is a journey, don't be too hard on yourself, just keep taking small steps each day and I promise you, one day you'll be right where you always hoped and dreamed of being!

TOO, TOO STRONG IS SOMETIMES WRONG

One of the tallest roadblock standing between you and help may be…YOU.

It’s a familiar fact that people are often raised to believe that asking for help, especially emotional and psychological help, it’s a sign of weakness.

...

Whatever the cause, admitting that we don’t have all the answers strikes a blow to the core of many people’s self-worth. In fact, this is the first step to seeking a deeper psychological strength.

The brittle thinking that keeps us from asking for help is macho at best and dangerous at work. After years of believe I could do it all, I discovered that I couldn’t REACH IN without REACHING OUT.

INFORMATION VS TRANSFORMATION

This is pretty obvious, yet it’s often forgotten. Can someone give you diet advice without getting to know you first and understanding your needs or wants?

A lot of people pretend to be experts and they just want to give opinions and I find that DAMAGING, because the last thing that I want, because we care about the people we associate with, is give an opinion that isn’t based on where the person is and where they want to go and then lead them do...wn the wrong track.

Time is something you could NEVER get back and if you follow a general advise (which is as good as reading a blog post, because it is not personalized to YOU), you will end up losing time instead of being on the right path of fixing your problem.

Say you visit a cardiologist, and before asking any questions, or even examining you, he recommends heart surgery and flies headlong into explaining why.

In the same manner, some people often assume that after posing none, or just a few, token questions, they know what’s best for you. But doctors don’t prescribe before diagnosing.

We can’t, for example, tell you that YOU need to eat: this or that for breakfast or that many calories/macros without understanding things such your activity level, hormonal profile, or any health challenges you are facing.

Assuming isn't accurate and DANGEROUS at most.

First of all, you yourself might not even be sure of what you need or want.

The benefits of asking questions is the “Eureka!” moment when the person itself discovers his/her needs and wants. That allows to make an INFORMED, COMFORTABLE decision.

Each person in UNIQUE and should be treated as such.

A WORKOUT A DAY KEEPS THE DOC AT BAY

Mother nature knows when we need regular physical activity to keep limber, to increase and maintain bones mass, to extend heart and lung efficiency, to activate chemical balance, and to enlist our immune system.

Exercise helps the body process more efficiently the 5,300 gallons of oxygen it inhales daily. It sparks natural highs thanks to endorphins, brain chemicals containing pleasure-inducing properties similar to opium....
Great as these benefits are, they are not the reason I exercise.

I do it because they clear my head and fill me with enthusiasm to play my mission each day.

[+] When I am low in energy, exercise recharges me. It also relieves stress. Likewise, the mind is always sharper after a workout.

[+] Decisions are made easier by exercise.

[+] I’ve also noted that when I am not exercising regularly, I’m not nearly as caring or tolerant with others.

[+] Better sleep and weight control round out the incredibly positive effects of exercise.

WHAT DOES SISTERHOOD MEAN TO YOU?

I grew up in a society that encouraged fierce competitions, especially among women.

What I am learning now is other women are not our enemies....
It takes a village, a tribe, and a sorority to sustain one another, to flourish and to become an accomplished adult.

So, sisterhood means inspiring women around me, encouraging each other, crying, laughing, stumbling.

Lifting each other up as a daily act, in your workplace, friendships, community, and life.
