They were kind enough to host many out-of-town guests for the 2017 solar eclipse. Very friendly folks and unlike other hosts in Hopkinsville, they did not try to overcharge for the sites or concession...s. We had a wonderful time and can't thank our hosts enough. See More

Greater Cumberland Baptist Church is a sweet congregation of ordinary people who love God and each other. I was so blessed to be part of this family for 3 plus years until the Army stationed us elsewh...ere. They are extremely supportive of military families and also have a great outreach into the Hopkinsville community. The pastor is former military and very relatable, and all the staff are very conscientious and caring people. This congregation is balanced, with a strong stand for God's truth and a great love for people in all stages of Christian growth. See More

Join us this Sunday for our Christmas Eve Service. Sunday School at 10am, church at 11am, and then we are having dinner at the church! You will be my guest this Sunday!

A young man is visiting from out of town and is looking for a place to spend Thanksgiving. If you have an extra place at your table let me know- Pastor.

We are supposed to fly out for furlough on the 29th but have run into a complication with our residency renewal (due to changes they just made) that may cause us to have to change our flight. Please pray that God will work it out so we can get it done before the 29th. Thank you!!!

From Joe Hendrigsman - Hey Friends in the ministry! Would you pray for my team and I as we head to Juchitán, Oaxaca in the morning. This is the area that was most devastated by the recent earthquake in Mexico. We are heading out at 8 AM CST to take food, clothes, Bibles and John/Romans. We have close to 700 Gospel packets made up that contain tracts, John/Romans, a one page Bible study, and a response card that can be mailed back to us. We live about 2.5 hours from Juchitán so prayers for traveling, prayers for souls, prayers for the people who have lost everything. We are excited to show the love of Christ to the Oaxacan people. Please also pray for us as we are still feeling tremors from the earthquake and are a bit on edge. Thanks for praying!

We are expecting a TREMENDOUS crowd for First Responders Sunday. Because if this, we need as many people as possible to park in overflow parking. Thank you- Pastor.

Please pray with us regarding our First Responders Sunday this week. We have over 50 visitors schedule just for this event. We have a great desire to be a blessing to these brave men and women, as well as bring glory to God.

Praying for the nearly 90 soulwinners who are going out today. Thankful for the three that we have seen saved so far. Please continue to pray for us on the great American eclipse weekend and our evangelistic endeavors.

Please be much in prayer about the upcoming Great American Eclipse. As ground zero for the eclipse, Hopkinsville will be inundated with visitors from around the world. Our church is one of the designated viewing sites for the eclipse and we are expecting 1000 people to be on the property for the event. We are trying to use this as an evangelistic opportunity, so we are coveting your prayers in this matter.

What a great start to Verity Baptist Academy. Saw three new students sign up the first day. So happy for the staff of our school.

Join us Sunday, June 25, as Evangelist and family speaker, S.M. Davis is with us all day. He will be speaking at 10, 11, and 5:30. Additionally, he will have several tables full of resources available for purchase. Join us this Sunday at Greater Cumberland Baptist Church 3822 Lafayette Road, Hopkinsville, KY.

The viewing for Frances Blackshire is June 24 from 3-4, at Maddox Fuqua and Hinton, with the service immediately following. There will be an opportunity for people to say a few words about Frances so come prepared to share something.

The Hoptown Hoppers game has be called due to rain.

Please pray for Roger Blackshire. Frances passed away in her sleep last night. I just left the house, and his faith is strong even though there is a lot of sorrow. Funeral arrangements will be posted when they become available. -Pastor.
