Pro Series Recap:
This season was a part of the learning process for our F1 division with the new additions to the team. Long time member Thomas Bouche was joined by István Balogh and Rene Venderbosch, who joined the team just before the opening race. We also, had Michele Costantini make his debut with the McLaren MP4-30, who is planning to be a regular participant next year.
The main goal for István was to try to regain his previous form after a long break from iRacing. He w...as a regular in the first split and showed a great improvement throughout the season. Meanwhile, Rene and Thomas started the season in the 2nd split where they were fighting for podiums and wins. After being a regular contender in the 2nd split, they both moved up to the 1st split where they faced a much bigger task. Thomas managed to score a top 15 already in his first race there, in Spa. Also, Rene finished 12th at the Nürburgring which was his best finish of the season.
Overall, the team made big gains over the season and we are looking forward to fight for the top places next season to try to qualify for the WCS.
The Ferrari GTE driven by Emanuele Petri, Joel Guez and Luis Omar Rodríguez Sobarzo scored a season best with P7, less than a second behind P6 (JIM Racing Team). What a big and clean fight until the last corner of the final lap after 6 hours of intense racing!
This result gives valuable points to qualify for a guaranteed entry to the 2018/2019 NEO Endurance season.
The HPD Prototype driven by Robert Grosser, Timo Isoniemi and Michele Costantini also scored a season best with P12. They achieved this by keeping their nose clean and scoring valuable points for the CleanX challenge, which rewards the team that scores the least incident points.
Final round of the NES4 will be the RaceSpot Le Mans 24h on March 24th/25th. We will be prepared to end the season in great fashion. With the help of Joel Real Timing we will of course make the right strategy calls.
Well done guys!
First there is the "hot contender" in the GT class. Our Ferrari is currently P10 in the points standings and qualified for a incredible P5 on the grid! Joel Guez, Emanuele Petri and Luis Omar Rodríguez Sobarzo will try to score another str...ong result in the race, maybe even beating the P10 finish from Nürburgring!
Then there is our HPD entry to the Prototype class, which entered the series as a late entry. This car is P18 (aka "last") on the grid, but main goal for drivers Robert Grosser, Timo Isoniemi and Georg Naujoks is to secure the lead in the "CleanX Challenge". So we expect a clean and consistent drive from this car.
With the help of Joel Real Timing we will be able to make the right strategy calls to achieve all of the goals for the two cars in this race. Good luck guys!
Good luck guys!...
