The El Paso Times Editorial Board believes former County Judge Veronica Escobar is the best choice for the seat.

There are two televised debates airing today. We invite you to tune in and see the candidates and their responses to the issues for yourself. The first is on KCOS-TV (PBS) at 4:00PM and the second is on KVIA-TV (ABC) at 10:30PM.

Please pay close attention to who actually ANSWERS the questions that El Pasoans care about. I hope it is clear that I tackle every issue, question and attack head on.

I'm proud of my long record of working and advocating for our immigrant communities. I did it long before I ever ran for office, and I did it because those are the values I was raised with -- that we take care of each other and help those in need. A few of my opponents know that they cannot attack my record of working for our values, so instead they attack my family. Our campaign, on the other hand, will continue to visit with voters about the real issues important to them.

Congressional candidate Veronica Escobar faces criticism for defending immigrants while her husband serves as an immigration judge.

Not only should we be alarmed that a Republican SuperPAC with dark money has entered our Democratic primary - working to defeat me and elect my opponent - but the way they've engaged should offend all of us. Distortions, lies, and now violations of the law. Ours will continue to be a campaign focused on our positive message and the issues important to El Pasoans.

A PAC targeting Veronica Escobar and her bid for El Paso’s congressional seat is amplifying its advertising efforts as the March primary draws closer

False and malicious accusations are being made by one of my opponents against my campaign manager and friend, Susie Byrd. Not only can I assure you that this is untrue, but if you read the article, you'll see she offers no evidence for her baseless claims. I want to assure our supporters and the public that we will continue to run our campaign in a way that should make you proud - by not engaging in false attacks, or desperate distractions.

EPISD trustees will consider approving an audit into whether Susie Byrd secured donations, endorsements for congressional candidate Veronica Escobar.

Since day one we have committed to run a positive campaign and operate with the utmost transparency. With early voting this Tuesday, we feel it’s important to alert you of outside forces and opponents that are attempting to mislead voters in this community about my record. They are spreading lies about my time at the county, members of my campaign team and my family.

We want to make sure you know the facts, which can be found at the link below. Please feel free to share the link on social media and within your circles. Thank you for the continued support.

Voters Beware. Keep El Paso Honest, a Republican SuperPAC, and some of Veronica’s opponents are purposely misleading voters about Veronica Escobar’s record and shamelessly attacking her family for political advantage. We want to make sure you know the facts. If you have questions, please reach o...

Best party of the year is the annual Aoy Alumni Valentine's Tardeada! Aoy Elementary has a proud, strong history in our community. One of the alumni told me that she wished Trump could be there with us. "He would see what our culture is all about. We are educated. We are professionals. We are business owners. We are contributing. We are what makes America great." And then with a proud smile, "And we know how to throw a party."

Please come out and join us this Tuesday at the WE(FILLINTHEBLANK) debate at Coronado High School! The debate begins at 7:00PM and all are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
