In November of 2017, we invite you to join the World Affairs Council of Seattle and the Council's President and CEO, Jacqueline Miller, for a unique travel opportunity to Cuba! Cubans are particularly passionate about music, dance, visual arts, baseball, and cars, and they’re happy to share their talents with visitors. Participants on this trip will have the opportunity to meet with Cuban leaders, educators, professionals, local citizens and others who are eager to exchange views on Cuban contemporary life as well as their views of their country’s role in the future. Deposits are being taken for group airfare and trip now! Learn more about the trip here: http://www.globalfamilytravels.com/cuba-2017-wac-trip

This past weekend, our #profellows in Seattle had a chance to volunteer with the Footloose Sailing Association, a sailing program for people with all disabiliti...es, their friends, families, and caregivers. They spent the day setting up registration tents, preparing boats for sail, and helping register sailors. After volunteering, they had a chance to sail in one of the sailboats along the Puget Sound. What a fun and rewarding day!

Today we had the honor of meeting with this awesome group, a delegation from North Africa and the Middle East participating in the State Department’s Internatio...nal Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). These journalists, filmmakers, nonprofit leaders, and communications professionals are visiting Seattle to explore innovative uses of digital media and community empowerment through social media. We talked about how storytellers can connect and partner effectively with community groups, how to fund such collaborations, and how to measure success.

Thanks, World Affairs Council - Seattle, for inviting us to talk with this impressive delegation!

We recently said goodbye to the visitors on the "Our Planet: Wildlife Conservation, Combating Trafficking and Poaching" #IVLP program. Participants from 12 diff...erent countries met with wildlife conservation specialists and law enforcement professionals in Washington, D.C.; Augusta, Maine; Bozeman, Montana; Seattle; and Miami; and had the opportunity to visit four national parks: Acadia, Yellowstone, North Cascades, and the Everglades. In their free time, visitors relaxed on the beach in Miami and were treated to home hospitality dinners in Augusta and Bozeman. It was a great three weeks and we can't wait to see what's next for our visitors!
