Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you "Do not fear. I will help you."
1. God is the Lord my God.
2. God takes a hold of my right hand. He holds on to me. He reaches out to me....
3, All God says is true, so his saying "Do not fear, I will help you" is true, is to be trusted, is to be believed.
What am I to do:
1. Do not fear.
2. Rest in the assurance God is here helping me in all things I am going through. All things! Nothing catches him by surprise.
Lord may I not fear, but remember you are holding onto me and helping me in all I am encountering today. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
I am a fearful person
God tells me not to be afraid (Psalm 27:1)
I get discouraged.
God tells me not to be discouraged (Joshua 1:9)
I am weak.
God tells me I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
I get worried.
God tells me not to worry (Matthew 6;34)
I am anxious.
God tells me to cast my anxiety onto him (1 Peter 5:6-7)
God tells me I am never alone (Matthew 28:20)
I am made in his image (Genesis 1:26-27)
God breathed his breath into me (Genesis 2:7)
The creator of the universes knows my name (Isaiah 43:9)
Can it ever get better than that?
Yes it can.
He sent his only Son so I would not perish (John 3:16)
I get to spend eternity with him in a mansion he has prepared for me (John 14:2)
Jesus the Son
Holy Spirit Counselor and Comforter
It does not get better than that
Joshua 3:5 Joshua told the people "Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you." NIV
Love this! Joshua had no idea what God was going to do, how they were going to get into the Promised Land, but he knew God was on their side. God was capable of doing something great and God could be trusted to keep His word. We need to remember that in our own lives.
God does amazing things....
God is to be trusted.
God is for us not against us.
God's timing is always perfect.
