What is it about Sundays? It should be time for a guilt-free lie-in but instead I've been awake since just after 4am. Bet I won't be half so eager to greet the world tomorrow morning.
Almost at the end of half term already (how did that happen?) and just got this little lovely in. The sun is out and the uni-dweller is home so transforming this will have to wait - although I quite like it as it is, maybe because I feel a little shabby and distressed myself...
Well hello there. It's been a long, long time since I posted anything. But I'M BACK. 2016 was not kind but 2017 will be better. I'm planning my next crochet project so will post pics soon (ish).
Oh dear. The internet is a wonderful thing until someone posts something revealing your own dark and distant past.... (In my defence, I was only 3 and it was the 70s which explains the interesting fashions and the haircuts).
I was lucky enough to spend some time yesterday with my family enjoying a late birthday trip to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The current production of A Midsummer Night's Dream is interesting and just a little outside of my comfort zone featuring lots of songs and underpants but what a lovely birthday pressie for me.
I would like to share this page with you as it's for my lovely friends business Rose Garden Studios. There are many lovely workshops on offer with some fab tutors and Carol's got a beautiful selection of fabrics and notions for sale too. Please do pop over and give her page a like. https://www.facebook.com/Rosegardenstudios33/…
Well now, there was me thinking we were well into Spring.... Two hail stone showers later..... Maybe not quite yet eh? At least it's Sunday, thank goodness for Netflix and roast chicken.
What beautiful, sunny day it is here today. After spending the morning clearing up the garden a bit and enjoying a cuppa in the sun I've come indoors to do a bit of knitting. I'm making this beauty http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dreambird-kal
So, after spending the day spinning silk yesterday, I planned to dye it today. That was until my uni child told me she's coming home for a quick visit tomorrow.... Out with the hoover instead then.....
Well today I went to my my monthly spinning group at Chartham near Canterbury. We had a felting workshop. I needle felted a flower. I'm quite please with myself as it spent most of the session looking like a starfish that had been involved in an accident with a steam roller but the beads finished it off nicely.
