Dear fans and followers, a little sad news to announce.
Unfortunately Warning Birds have called it a day.
We've been putting this off for a while now, secretl...y hoping things will fall back into place but it just hasn't worked out that way. Warning Birds has been a big part of our lives for the last few years. We played so many incredible shows, toured the country, travelled overseas, met some amazing people and most importantly we made some music we're genuinely proud of.
Please keep in touch with us... Bensen and Sam have been making new music together with their project Knight and I've been collaborating with my boyfriend on a new project called The Lottery.
A huge thank you to all the people that supported and inspired us along the way, we truly appreciate it!
Warning Birds are playing the Perth Fringe Festival. See us at the Midlandia Locale pop-up venue this Friday. Doors from 4pm. For more info: http://www.swanvalley.com.au/L…/Events/Swan_Valley/Midlandia
After the BBQs and Hottest 100 parties, come join us at the beach at twilight on Australia Day. We are proud to be playing the Summerset Arts Festival this Sunday at Scarbrorough Beach with Eloise Ashton. See the link below for details
Warning Birds are playing Summerset Festival's Sunset Veranda at Scarbrough Beach on Australia Day evening along with talented singer-songwriter Eloise Ashton. The pop-up venue is only there for a couple of weeks so we're privileged to be given the opportunity. Love to see you all there!
Hey Margaret River, we'll be kicking off our year with a performance at Settlers Tavern this Friday night. Very much looking forward to seeing you all again
We don't have a Christmas carol for you, but we do have some new music to give you. 'Moby Dick' is a song about dreams; how they can preserve the memory of someone, becoming a place to access a person who is not physically there anymore. A good friend of mine once told me how, when she tragically lost her mum, for a time she would almost look forward to sleeping because she would often see her, having these beautiful, vivid dreams of her mother. It's a kind of sad and lovely ...thing all at once, I think. Sad in the sense that for a person grieving, they can be at their happiest when they close their eyes at night, and lovely because I guess it gets them through. Anyway, 'Moby Dick' is free to download. Please feel welcome to share it, burn it, put a ribbon on it and pop it under a tree. Happy holidays from all of us - Sam
We're having our end-of-year show/Warning Birds' Xmas party this Friday night near Carmen's home town at the beautiful riverside music venue, Redcliffe On The Murray. It's a free show though you'll need to reserve a table on (08) 9531 3894
