We couldn't have picked a better day to cruise Waterton Lake. Beautiful day, calm waters, and a nice visit by Momma Black bear and her three cubs on the way ba...ck. Boat was full and the commentary was both educational and entertaining.
Only thing I grapple with is the cost for an adult . . . . Being from the hospitality/transportation industry for many years, the cost is high in comparison to small line cruises we have taken in the past both in North America and off shore. Highly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants a mini marine adventure with a healthy helping of Mother Nature.

The Crypt Lake Hike was named the #1 Amazing Hike in the Canadian Rockies, by explore Magazine!

While the dock at Crypt Landing is not yet in place (and as such our hiker shuttle cannot drop hikers off yet), here is the latest trail report from Waterton Visitor Safety Technicians:

"The trail is totally snowbound from Burnt Rock Falls to Crypt Lake, with an average of 120cm of snowpack at the old campsite before the tunnel, and deeper at the lake itself. The main hazards are slip/fall on snow, and avalanche hazard. Ice axe, crampons and competence in their use are essential for reasonably safe travel."

Here are 25 amazing hikes in the southern Canadian Rockies—from Waterton Lakes National Park, north to Banff National Park.

Our family decided to take the Friday night boat cruise this past we...ekend. Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in my life. The boat crew was very knowledgeable & entertaining as well. My wife & I were riding up front doing the titanic movie reenactment when she spotted "something" swimming ahead. The great captain of the vessel had to cruise closer for a better look. Well if it wasn't a bobcat( or lynx) out for a Friday night leisure swim. The crew claimed it was the sighting of the year if not ever. Many photos were taken but I shot a quick video to see the little fella in action. Thanks again for this unforgettable experience.
