We purchased our dinning room set which is nice and fits well the space. Delivery was a nightmare. First of all super expensive but worst of all, each piece was delivered on a different day and not th...e date they quoted which made it very complicated to have someone home to receive it. We complained about it and received in store credit. But... story doesn’t end here. West elm was “so honest in wanting to make up for their mistake” that they gave a very short expiration date to this store credit. We haven’t been able to use and It expires today and I am out of the country so I called the store to understand if I could buy something (anything) to then come back o the store, return it and buy something else. Well, I can’t, that money will be lost. I spoke to the manager of the cherry creek store, Anne, she was super rude, not helpful at all and just kept on repeating “the store gives you enough time to use the money”. She wasn’t open to listening to why I was frustrated so I asked her to please pass the comment to her management that I felt that west elm really didn’t care about their customers, not even because I spent several thousands of dollars at the store. To make the point the store manager, Anne, hung up the phone in the middle of my sentence!!!! Thank you Anne for impersonificating what I meant about west elms poor customer service. Now, I don’t know how to pass the message but I want west elm to know that I am not spending a single penny in that store and I will tell my experience to every single person I can because a store who doesn’t care about their customers and making right for their mistakes shouldn’t deserve people’s money. UPDATE: The store did contact me and offered a credit, which helps make this better. Hopefully other shoppers will have good luck on the first go around in the future.

I love most of what West Elm in their stores but their customer service and delivery system is absolutely horrible. A few years back I vowed to never shop there again after having a table delivered to me four times without legs. I ended up with no table when it was all said and done because I couldn't deal with them any more.
However, after not going back for a few years I decided to give them another try because I really liked an outdoor patio sectional and table. Worst mistake I ever made! I ordered the furniture back in April with delivery set for the end of July. Seems simple enough. When July rolled around no one from the Cherry Creek Store in CO had called me to set up delivery, so I called them. They informed me that they had two parts of the sectional but not the corner piece that holds it together. After sitting on hold for a total of four hours over the course of two days, I was told that the piece I had ordered and needed was on back order until October. When I told them to cancel the order they suddenly discovered the piece at their Boulder store but told me that I would have to pay for additional delivery to fix their mistake. After going back and forth they said they would have the piece shipped from Boulder to Cherry Creek and then everything would be delivered on the 29th as we originally planned. I was told it would all come together and be assembled that day.
The week leading up to delivery was like a circus. I received over 10 calls from various West Elm employees telling me that delivery was on the way for the wrong dates. I finally just decided to let the chips fall where they may and hope things arrived on the 29th. The shipment was not delivered all together (it came in 3 shipments that day) and then they sent high school kids to assemble it. It started to sprinkle so they decided they were done working for the day and said they would come back two days later to finish.
They came back as promised but then after it was all assembled we discovered that two of the cushions were not in the shipment. I then had to once again call the store, sit on hold forever and then I was told they had the cushions. I drove to pick them up because I was not risking another failed delivery. They knew when I was coming but I still had to wait 30 minutes for them to find the cushions. I got them home and you guessed it...they were the wrong cushions! I then had to drive back to the store to get the cushions but I had the satisfaction of knowing that this would be the last trip I will ever make to West Elm. Take my advice and shop somewhere else!

Soo disappointed! I purchased a dresser from WE April 4th and was scheduled to deliver April 15th, very well knowing there was a chance I would have to reschedule delivery time because I work Tuesday...-Saturday which is unfortunately the only days they offer delivery. They tell you only two days in advance what time they will be delivering. I rescheduled for April 22nd. The woman on the phone LIED to me and told me they do not deliver to my zip code past 3 pm. I got an e-mail this morning confirming my delivery between 4:30-6:30. Is this a joke?! So I call the delivery center and WE and zero f**ks were given. I had no choice but to cancel my order as I would have to take an ENTIRE day off of work with only the two days of notice. Next day I have without clients is June 7!! Cannot wait till then. Will never buy from WE again. Lost this customer. See More

Bought a sectional on 10/18, selected a quick ship fabric. Backorder after backorder the sofa made it to Denver. Scheduled delivery last Thursday which was cancelled the day of delivery due to weather... delays (the 2" of snow that melted by noon). Was told delivery would be this week, my husband said the latest we'd accept the sofa was Saturday. Saturday came and went, no phone call to confirm either way. Still have no idea when we'll get this sofa! My husband was on hold with corporate trying to be the liason with the warehouse for 25 minutes when the call dropped. I called the warehouse 20+ times today and all you can get is a busy signal. We were given a credit for our troubles but all I really want is our couch. Totally powerless and defeated, we don't have the time to beg for the sofa we paid for back on 10/18 (customer care tried to tell me they didn't charge my card until 11/2 as if that's any better but my Amex statement confirms payment posted on 10/18). To take a day off work to accept delivery requires planning, it'd sure be nice to know what plans need to be made. Unreal. See More

I really can't say anything about the quality of the sofa and side chairs we ordered, because despite purchasing these in stock items and taking our money for them six weeks ago they are refusing to s...chedule delivery. Why, you ask? Because the coffee table we also ordered is on back order with no scheduled ship date. Despite the sales person and the first furniture delivery representative we spoke with telling us otherwise, these items must be delivered together. We have come to find out this is standard policy. Beware when placing large furniture orders. Leave off the back ordered items and don't expect the furniture delivery department or customer service to help with actually getting your items delivered. But they will take your money for items they have 'shipped', even if it takes months to get said items. See More

Company has the worst scheduling and delivery service. I bought 8 items in the past month and it is like if they are making you a favor. And forget about wanting to speak with an operator. They have y...ou on hold for 20 minutes and then hang on you. I want my thousands of dollars in purchases back. Never again. See More

Absolutely dismal product fulfillment. 3 "scheduled" deliveries never showed up and to get any information we had to initiate phone call after phone call to an extremely disconnected supply chain gro...up. West Elm cares about selling a product shown in a catalog -- it is clear that customer service is at the very bottom of their operating values.

Buyer beware.

On January 25, through her company, Mom’s Night Out Productions, Campbell will host the inaugural Mom UP! Project at The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace. The event, which runs from 4–9:30pm, will have pop-up shops and restaurants, a cash bar and speakers throughout the evening covering relevant topics. The $25 ticket, which must be purchased in advance, includes an $8 donation to the Colorado public or private school of the mom’s choice and a swag bag of offers and samples valu...ed at more than $300.00. VIP swag bags are available for $40, with upgraded offers and samples. Attendees can also add on a cheese plate from So Damn Gouda, a local business in attendance. Campbell encourages moms to come when they can during the evening, stay as long as they like or even come and go.

Formerly in advertising, Campbell worked as a consultant once her children were born. As they reached school age, she realized there were lots of school fundraisers but many of them involved the same kinds of activities. She wanted to do something different that also gave something back to the moms.

The Mom Up! Project is a branch off of her Mom’s Night Out Production movie nights, created when the movie Bad Moms came out in 2016. While trying to come up with a twist on a mom’s night out, Campbell thought about how she could create a fun evening and provide exposure to businesses and swag bags for moms. Adding the element of benefiting schools would help alleviate any guilt pangs moms might have. The first event, which benefited one school, sold out. People from other parts of the city found out about the movie nights as did requests to give to other schools. Creating the Mom UP! Project meant being able to have a different format and the opportunity for more moms to attend, while still giving back to the school of their choice.

The speaker lineup for the Mom UP! Project is varied: Eric Gorski, bureau chief of Chalkbeat Colorado; Chef Maggie O’Toole, a cooking teacher and chef; Heather Hunter, a psychic medium; Bridget Molloy, dealing with women’s health and sexual well-being; Sarah Stabio, owner of The Bar Method Denver; and Wendy Gossett, a family temperament specialist. Pop-up shop exhibitors include Teakoe Tea, Plum Consignment, Hand and Stone Massage, Wills and Wellness Estate Planning, Denver Vein Center, Gypsy Stitches Studio, and Smartwool.

“Sometimes it’s nice to get a little something back that has nothing to do with our kids,” says Campbell. “It’s not only about being a mom but it’s about being a woman too. There’s a little selfishness involved.” Campbell hopes that between the food, drink, shopping and speakers, moms will leave with something that has added to their lives. “If they learned something, bought something, made some new friends or hung out with friends they haven’t been able to see, that makes it worth it. That, to me, is what will make it a successful event.”
