The game's amazing. Gameplay and graphic style feels like a modern DK 2, and having the original narrator is just soooo great and nostalgic... Its sense of humor is also on point, and I can't wait to ...find out what 2018 brings to the game :D. See More

I was a huge fan of the Dungeon Keeper franchise back in the day, and this is THE game that should of been called Dungeon Keeper 3. In my personal opinion though, War For The Overworld is a much more ...fitting name.

Whats even better is.... the creators of War Of The Overworld have created their own Dungeon Management genre, which is even better than the original Dungeon Keeper, not just because of the better graphics as time has gone by, but better gameplay features, more intelligent AI, awesome soundtrack and sound fx, with loads more intricate bits you realise as you play the game.

They have basically re-invented the Dungeon management genre the way Bullfrog would of wanted to do, if they hadnt been taken over by another company.

Just like others, I feel this is the true Dungeon Keeper 3. Just a spectacular game that truly feels like the successor to the original DK series.

Before War of the overworld, there was a game called Dungeon keeper. It was an excellent game, evil, strategic, and truely devastating if you did not plan everything carefully. Then there was Dungeon ...Keeper 2. Bit of an upset, as the system was weird, and filled with pesky bugs. But this! This is a true work of evil! Let your inner underlord come out, slap your minions, and control your creatures, manage a massive dungeon while you pet your kitty on your arm as you act all evil.. Eventually, the fun gotta end, your actual life is call. But I am sure many would agree, that this IS what it would be like, to be evil. Muhahaha~ See More

I was too young to support you in the kickstarter, i bought this game as soon as it was on steam (early acces)
I've read every WFTO-wednesday and enjoyed having something to look forward to every wee...k :)
There is only 1 element that I (but that is purely me being picky) think is not enough, and that's the music.
Don't get me wrong, i love it, but compared to the music from DK, this music doesn't give the mysterious/chilly vibe that is there in DK1. Although truth be told DK2 lacks it too sadly enough...
Though that does not diminish this game one bit!
Thank you guys for all the effort you have made, you made a kickass game, and I am looking with anticipation to the next updates and games! :D

This is the legacy of the Dungeon Keeper. Not only because all other games "like" DK is nothing like it, but also because of the atmosphere, voices, and, well, gameplay. This is exactly how DK suppose...d to be in "future" back when I was a child.
It is good to be bad... still.

This brings back all the great Dungeon Keeper memories. I played a couple other games, Overlord and Overlord II. They mixed Warcraft with dungeon building, but it didn't quite have that resonance. Thi...s does. I dig it super hard. See More

As though Dungeon Keeper got a true sequel; unmistakable DK style combined with a tonne of new, improved, and modernized elements.

J'ai adoré les Dungeon Keeper I & II.
Je regrette juste qu'il n'y ai pas pas une voix Française et il manque également les grands cornus.
Sinon, je m'éclate bien.

War for the Overworld - Main Trailer - Revised 2017
Heart of Gold - Teaser Trailer
War for the Overworld - Heart of Gold - Release Trailer

Two and a Half years ago we unleashed War for the Overworld, the modern Dungeon Management Game upon the unsuspecting heroes of the Overworld. Since then we've updated it constantly, with over fifty patches, hundreds of hotfixes and three expansions (Two paid, One free!). Today we release the game in China with a new patch and special worker skin! (

To celebrate we're putting the game on sale with up to 70% off over on Steam ( and GOG ( We've also put together a swanky updated version of our launch trailer to show just how far the game has come! Why not take a gander Underlord?

It looks like you may be having problems playing this video. If so, please try restarting your browser.

We rarely share photos of our team's real lives but this was too good to miss! Behold Underlord Zoja, the three-year-old offspring of one of our contractors and perhaps now our youngest fan.

She demonstrates a remarkable potential for evil for one so young. Without instruction, she is learning to craft worlds in our map editor. We've been told she has an incredible affinity for lava and we expect that she will grow up to be a fine Underlord some day.

Perhaps we're looking at ...the next generation of Underlords and maybe even game developers? We can only hope that our humble efforts have inspired others.

Do you have any similar stories to share? We'd love to hear them!
