We want to give a warm welcome to the new Men With Vision Project Manager, Paul (Butch) Jenkins. At the age of 24, Butch had a life changing experience after participating in a workteam to Papua New Guinea. Returning to Papua New Guinea on numerous occasions, Butch along with local men, built 30 village churches. He and his lovely wife Leatha, have had a burden for under privileged countries and we are thrilled they will be working in the MWV Department.

Butch has been a mentor to many young men over the years who have worked for him and have gone into ministry. In 2009, he and Leatha were appointed missionaries to Papua New Guinea in the remote Nembi Highlands of the Southern Highlands. Leatha has a passion for storytelling. Their wonderful family is made up of four children and twelve grandchildren.

Please use the link in this post if you want to give to help with the Tenwek fire recovery. Thank you for your prayers and generosity.

On Friday, February 9, a fire broke out at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya in the building that housed the kitchen, laundry facilities, and other support functions for... the hospital. No lives were lost and there were no serious injuries, but the building was heavily damaged and all equipment inside was destroyed. Please join in the fire recovery efforts by donating here:

A large fire broke out this afternoon (evening there) at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, Africa. The fire was limited to a large two story structure that houses the kitchen, laundry, canteen, some offices, and the “wound ward.” We praise God that the fire is largely contained and there were no injuries or loss of life. The entire kitchen/statistics/laundry building was gutted. There are hundreds of people helping to dismantle anything flammable to keep it from spreading. The Bomet fire tanker was called to fight the fire. Pray that the fire will be completely contained and not spread any further.

Please pray for Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center and our missionaries. They are experiencing flooding conditions causing damage to buildings and properties hindering their ministry. More information as to how you can help will be posted to this site when it becomes available.

An update on our kid's school and the flooding. I copied these facebook pictures from another missionary's FB page. The offices have dried out but basically t...he rest of the school is still underwater. Please continue to pray for the students, faculty and administration of the school and the many volunteers as they work hard to get the school cleaned up.

Hi WGM family,

I wanted to let you know about a transition that is happening with Men With Vision. As many of you know Bill Bucher has faithfully served with WGM for 12 years. Throughout those years God has used Bill’s passion for missions as he has connected with countless people, led many work teams and invested in all those involved with Men With Vision. Recently, Bill told me he has decided that God is leading him to retire so he can spend more time with his family. ...Bill’s last day will be October 31st.

I’m also excited to announce that Jim Smith will be stepping in to lead Men with Vision into the future beginning November 1st. Jim has a passion for Men With Vision, is known to many of our Men with Vision members, and has many new ideas on how to lead Men with Vision into this new season of doubling WGM’s impact around the world. Men With Vision will continue to be a key part of our mobilization strategy. Jim will also continue on as one of our missionary coaches based in Pennsylvania.

I also wanted to say thank you for all your active support and participation with Men With Vision. I'm excited to see how God will continue to work through Men With Vision in the days ahead to help double our impact around the world.

Please join me in celebrating all God has done through Bill and welcoming Jim!

Before you rebuild you have to remove. This roof is over 40 years old, rafters are bad and will be replaced with pressure treated trusses then new tin.

I'm leaving in the morning for Haiti to help replace the roof on Radio Lumiere at Cayes with a 4 man team, planning to complete in 5 days. Prayers appreciated.

WGM is asked to be a drop station for Harvey relief supplies. Good amount on pallets first day, more coming tomorrow. This is just the beginning of MWV involvement, rebuilding is next.

Had sometime to spend with the Hillsdale MWV this week. This house needs a ramp, there's no better group of men willing to meet that need. Great job!!
