So saddened to hear of Dame Tessa Jowell’s death. We all aspire to be patient, generous and kind in all that we do, and she did exactly that. She proved that determination and ambition don’t go hand in hand with ruthlessness. Tessa significantly changed the lives of so many, especially women and the working class in the UK, creating Sure Start and rallying for flexible working hours for parents. She proved that you can have a long & successful career whilst having a family and I sincerely hope that Tessa and her achievements are not forgotten easily. A true legacy for this country. #dametessajowell

How I feel about @liveatleedsfest - thank you so, so much for a wonderful evening. You were such a wonderful audience and I felt so at home at a time where I have felt insecure and unsure of myself. you swept in and made my day. I hope the rest of your Festival was as great as mine!
