After removing paint, we usually condition the bare wood with linseed oil. To aid in absorption, a solvent is added; old-fashioned turpentine, or gentler mineral spirits if chemical sensitivity is an issue. For the exterior wood, we also like to add a copper solution to the mix to prevent mildew and extend wood life.

We use salvaged period "wavy" glass to restore your windows, or accurate reproduction glass when scarce larger panes are needed or if tempered glass is called for.
