We agree with Newsday - The Woolverton is a great romantic getaway close to Long Island, NYC - and the Philadelphia area too. https://www.newsday.com/…/romantic-weekend-getaways-close-t…

We believe the grounds of The Woolverton are beautiful in the warm months, but this morning we were reminded how special it is in the winter as well.

My husband and I spent Valentine's Day 2018 in Amelia's suite. This was our first time here and we were so impressed! The inn is just beautiful inside and out - even in the wintertime. Our suite was we...ll appointed and offered a sense of stepping back-in-time with modern amenities. The fireplace and jacquzzi overlooking the sheep pasture was lovely. We cannot say enough about the hospitality of the staff beginning with our conversation with the Innkeeper Kaylie, as she was preparing homemmade fudge in the kitchen and meeting Mary, the owner, and the chef during breakfast. The freshly baked goods offered during the day, along with the three course breakfast, were surpurb using fresh farm-to-table ingredients. We recommend the Woolverton Inn offering a romantic getaway for anyone seeking a comfortable, country setting surrounded by an array of wonderful quaint towns and exquisite restaurants. See More

My wife and I chose to get married at the Woolverton Inn for 3 big reasons:
1. Everything felt personalized. From the ceremony location to the flowers; from the appetizers to the dessert; from an awes...ome massage our wedding morning to the little touches in our room; from the hair and make up to the photographer; they had options/answers if we didn't already come with them. We truly felt like we were planning our wedding with family and friends rather than some corporate hoteliers.
2. The wedding was small but the natural grounds were a spacious and breathtaking VanGogh style backdrop.
3. We could bring our dog.
Details:
The rooms were clean, spacious and stylized to the cottage/room you chose. The food was terrific. Lastly, the fire pit was a beautiful way to cap each night.
The staff:
They were amazing. Whether it was the caretaker of the land or housekeeping, there was always a smile of familiarity.
Our most important point of contact:
Lastly, and most importantly, Kailea was phenomenal. I always felt like I could rely on her with just a wink and a nod. She was everything we needed and nothing we did not. A perfectly calm and rational problem solver during a time where problems and emotions can really ratchet up.
Given that we planned and executed this wedding in under 2 months, Kailea helped make it an easy peasy slam dunk!
Thank you for helping to make our most important day the best day of our lives!

Absolutely loved, loved, loved this place! The innkeeper, Kaylee, was so nice and accommodating. We had gourmet breakfasts each morning that were simply delicious! If you want to get away for the week...end I would highly recommend staying here. Less then an hour away from Staten Island, NY and tons of things to do in Lambertville, New Hope and Peddlers Village. See More

Stayed in one of the cozy cottages to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. Room was so inviting and peaceful. Even had our own private courtyard where we had a most delicious breakfast. From adm...iring the sheep and taking strolls to rocking on the front porch, we had a very relaxing weekend. The owners gave some wonderful recommendations for a lovely day at Lambertville and New Hope. Thank you for the wonderful memories. We will be back. See More

Spent 2 nights there n Amelia's Suite. The staff is super-nice, and the breakfasts are fantastic! Even though it rained both days, it was a wonderful stay. And so close to Lambertville and New Hope. ...Would recommend to anyone looking for an elegant stay in that neck of the woods! Thank you all for your hospitality! Carl & Nancy See More

In May 2014 Cheri and I stayed here in order to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and to explore my maternal roots (which are connected to General Daniel (1751-1819) and Mary (Wolverton) Bray (17...56-1840), he being my 1st cousin 8 times removed)! Of course, Daniel Bray Highway (NJ29) begins just north of Wolverton Inn so an area rich in genealogical and revolutionary war history. But I digress, the lemon ricotta pancakes with strawberries or blueberry pancakes served at Wolverton Inn were out of this world! Glad to hear all of that will continue. We will be back soon! My wife and I have been to this very quiet and cozy establishment a few times now. We always come back relaxed, with great memories and eager to make the wonderful recipes shared with us by the chefs... at Wolverton Inn! Only one suggestion to the new owners would be to possibly get jacuzzis in the cottages instead of whirlpools. Although the whirlpool tubs are nice, massaging jets would be a wonderful additive to a relaxing experience. Thank you all for making our experiences memorable and inviting! We can't wait to come back again!!! See More

Instead of getting gifts for each other for Christmas, my boyfriend and I came here for a getaway. It was well worth it! I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. Our cottage was fabulous...... so luxurious! The bed was super comfy and we fell in love with the large jacuzzi tub and shower. Breakfast was absolutely incredible! The in-room fireplace made everything warm, cozy, and romantic. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Everything was just perfect. We had a terrific time! See More

My wife and I stayed for our 20 year anniversary. We can't speak highly enough about the experience. Amazing rooms and a tranquil environment along with some great views. The breakfast was phenomenal!... The owners are some of the nicest and welcoming people we had the pleasure of meeting. We left there feeling happy and relaxed. We will be going back once a season. Highly recommend the Inn. See More
