Well here is a truly shocking headline in The New York Times: "Teenagers leading happy, connected lives online". Shockingly according to a Pew study, it seems that social media allows kids to stay in closer touch with their friends and expand their social circles. All technologies have pros and cons, but it's great to see an article celebrating the benefits of social media, rather than demonising it as something new, unprecedented and terrible.
