Wyoming Valley Art League one of the oldest art leagues in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Come to the Third Friday Art Walk. Stop by the Marquis Art and Frame. Visit the local venues in Wilkes-Barre to... see what a wonderful community we have to offer in the arts. You will be surprised! Join us on June 17th as we share the talents of many artists here in our own community. Join the art league and experience what art is all about. See More

For those of you who were not able to attend the opening reception of the Doris Cresko exhibit at the WVAL Circle of the Arts building, make it a point to stop... by and check it out. It's an amazing exhibit. In a wolrd full of chaos Doris has has brought to us a vision of tranquility and peace. A refuge we all are in need of these days. Exhibition runs through March 30.

A few photos from yesterday's reading of " A Christmas Carol " By Charles Dickens. Reading Director Robert Anderson, Musical Arrangements by Jason Smeltzer. This is the 3rd Annual production of this reading by members of the WVAL and members of the community. This reading is in the spirit of the season as well as an effort to support our outreach program that provides weekly art classes for the women of Ruth's Place, a Luzerne County homeless shelter for women. The WVAL is gr...ateful for the opportunity to serve the community in this way. Thank you to all who support this effort!!! We couldn't do it without you!! There were many readers, not all of them are represented in these photos. If you have any photos you would like to share please send them to us. Thank you to all the readers and those who made this event possible!! Happy Holidays !!!
