Today, I announced six projects recommended for Abandoned Land Mine grants and awarded eight Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails program grants that will help fund projects in Southern WV.

To help prepare for Hurricane Florence, officials with the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency are stationed at the West Virginia National Guard's Joint Operations Center to coordinate federal assistance should the storm impact the Mountain State.

This is a landmark day for our tourism industry and our economy as a whole!
West Virginia’s tourism industry grew at a rate 30 percent above the national rate in 2017! When I took office, I knew we had to do something to get back on the right track in tourism, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. Tourism needs to be a cornerstone of our economy, and it’s great to see it growing again.
