To all the veterans running for office across the country, whether it be on the local, state, or federal level: Your veteran status does not qualify you to run for office. I’ve deployed 3 times as an infantryman so I can promise you, leading troops on the battlefield does not prepare you to SERVE the people of this country in Washington. Yes, we need more veterans to be elected to public office but if that is what “qualifies” you, it doesn’t. I’m ready to serve and follow the people of my district and this country so their lives can be improved.
