This weeks update - new map (island - generated with perlin noise), LOD (x 4,000 trees), some animations, a random walking character (x200), water and the improved build system.

Yeti Planet added 5 new photos to the album: New Terrain and Build System.

Major changes, recreated the whole project fresh. Now featuring low poly non voxel terrain, water, terrain generator, LOD and the new build system.

Let me know your views, I'm trying out a new terrain style. The game started with a Minecraft voxel style terrain which was editable in the same way. But the game isn't about mining, it never was, so do I need the voxel terrain? Instead, I'm trying out this low poly version (currently not editable, don't know if it will be).

I can now see some extra analytics: my last post/video was viewed 735 times and had a reach of 2,726 people. These are amazing numbers, so a big thank you to everyone.

Another attempt at a base model for some characters, I can't decide between flat or smooth shading. (In the Star Trek Uniform because it was easy to texture)

Well this proves that I need someone to do my 3d modelling. I was aiming for a Chibi style character, ended up with a badly shaped nerd in a shirt and tie. Well at least he can ride a T-Rex to the office.
