Greetings! The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have a gig coming up on Friday 3 November at Liquor, Lincoln, with the awesome alt-rockers Navajo Ace and the mighty fuzzy stoner rockers Buffalode.
It would make us unimaginably happy to see you there. Further details are here: https://www.facebook.com/events/118974048790818
Cheap advance tickets (a steal at £2) are available at: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/414506...
It's been three months since our last update. We'd love to say that we've been holed up in a studio, creating new and exciting music. This however would be a lie. The closest thing we have to a big update is Ben purchased himself a flat cap. It's white.
BUT WAIT. We have an actual gig upon the horizon! The ever wonderful Playing Aloud have invited us once again to ruin a perfectly pleasant Bank Holiday weekend with our amplified attempts at odd time signatures under the guise... of being "musicians."
We had a blast playing at the Jolly Brewer on Sunday! For your delight and delectation we'd like to share with you some photos of our boats, courtesy of KMGS Photography (https://www.facebook.com/kmgsphotography). Cheers Kat!
Band sustenance for the trip down to London for our gig at The Dublin Castle this evening. The more eagle eyed among you will note the judicious use of the Boots Meal Deal offer: Triple pack sandwiches. Check.* Naked smoothies (RRP £16.39 each). Check. Naughty sausage rolls as fruit alternative (we get our five a day via the aforementioned beverages). Check.
Come join us to bask in our collective savings glory this evening. We'll be onstage at c.9/9.30pm.
*Apart from Alex, who has selected a tuna & sweetcorn pasta 'salad'. Amateur.
HELLO. Alongside other important existential questions, you may have been wondering what that Your Cat is a Landmine is up to. Praise be, they're still continuing with this 'band' lark!
Switching from the third person - we're not barbarians - we're returning to The Dublin Castle for our first gig of 2017. Oooosh! Since we last played, they've even put up a blue plaque to commemorate our first ever London gig, in 2013. Or it might have something to do with Madness.
2 Tone..., or not 2 Tone, we shall be there, delighted to be on the same bill again as the fine gentlemen of Kujara, alongside Last Known State, Time For 15 & Beautiful Big Fat Mess.
Tickets are £5 in advance, £7 on the door.
Here's what to expect (played a lot worse live): https://youtu.be/VhiyrpX09LU
We have a gig! At (sorry, @) Liquor, Lincoln, on 2nd December. Full details are here:
Apparently there's a Christmas market or something going on, on the same night, but lukewarm wine drunk from a plastic cup is the mulled wine of champions....
Oh, and most importantly, it's for a good cause (i.e. not our sky rockets).
Oh Number 2: If you like redundant music formats and fancy freeing up some space in our spare rooms, you can buy our entire back catalogue on CD here: https://catlandmine.bandcamp.com.
Fed up of your own dull, tired skin? Then why not mark it permanently with a Your Cat is a Landmine EP cover. Thanks to Edd for making this lifestyle choice - we're very flattered. You mentalist! YCIAL x
Disclaimer: Your Cat is a Landmine neither recommends, nor discourages, this sort of behaviour.
Concerned as we were that y'all were both literally AND metaphorically beside yourselves with concern at our lack of activity, fear not, our trusted friends. For we have not one, but three, gigs coming up, at:-
1. Axe & Cleaver, Boston (Lincs), Tuesday 4 October with Fedic and Flat Earth Society....
2. Liquor, Lincoln (Lincs), Saturday 15 October with too many bands to list individually at this time of the evening:
3. Jolly Brewer, Lincoln, Friday 21 October with Ripkord and New Personas (kick off 8.30).
