"Dear Mr. Rich, Thank you for coming to my school. Your lessons are so fun! Thank you for letting us use your stuff.
You are AWESOME!
"Mr. Rich has brought his passion for drumming and all of the care, kindness and respect that come with his program to the students of Kearsarge Regional High School. Mr. Rich fostered our Unified Program by highlighting the talents of all, and I was repeatedly impressed by his ability to dynamically incorporate the unique personality and learning style of each participant into our sessions. Mr. Rich's ability to find and highlight the strengths in everyone was equal to hi...s talents as a drummer, which is no small accomplishment. I have come to the conclusion that the art of drumming, and the art of celebrating diversity are a perfect rhythm, and Mr. Rich is the perfect person to lead this Unified Beat!"

"Weathersfield School was delighted to secure Mr. Rich from YouthBeatz as an Artist in Resident in June 2017. He had an instant bond with our K-8 students, faculty, staff and even the community. His high level of positive energy is infectious. He had my staid and seasoned staff dressing up like rock stars and opening the residency by playing drums like they really were rock stars! The kids were screaming with delight from the bleachers....loving every minute of the show! ... When Mr. Rich pushed in to our PE classes to work with 14 different classrooms for 48 minutes each, the children were begging for more time with him. Every student felt valued and successful when working with Mr. Rich! We had a culminating assembly at the end of the residency and many parents, grandparents, and neighbors joined us for the celebration. Mr. Rich had young and old, center stage, drumming like rock stars! What a way to bind a community! What a way to raise self esteem! What a way to teach kids how to channel their energy in positive and celebratory ways! Mr. Rich excited the whole town, so much, we invited him back for a second residency, to happen in January 2018, with even more time with students than before. I would highly recommend Mr. Rich for any gig he selects to play. I am a principal with 40 years experience and I know good people when I see them. Mr. Rich is dynamite with kids because he models respectful behavior and how to still have a good time. Kids can relate to him. He motivates them with his words and his actions. This is a residency worth having; a great way to bring JOY into your school, too!"

"Youth Beatz has been such an important piece of programming within our organization. Over the past few years that we have had Rich come into work with our children we have seen an increase in excitement about his program. The children talk about their Youth Beatz days with their parents, other staff and of course each other!
Our staff and children enjoy Rich’s program because the children learn more than how to just bang on buckets. They are learning to respectful of others,... be responsible, be safe, and how to be supportive of each other. Rich teaches them patience and how to include others by allowing the children to join him at their own pace.
One child in particular held back from joining in, it had nothing to do with the program but had to do with this particular child and the way they viewed working together with others. After a few of our summer sessions, this child decided to join in, not by drumming as the other children did but by shaking his own instrument. Rich included him with open arms and made him a part of this exciting and fun program including him in the process even though it was a little out of the ordinary. Our staff was so impressed by this that they came to me immediately after the program to let me know.
I think that knowing that our children are learning great life skills and still having an awesome time is the best part of Youth Beatz!"
