27th AUG - 2nd Sept INTERGALACTIC WEEK ON THE #zad
Zad Forever shared John Jordan's post.
Went to bed with the sound of the police helicopter in the night sky, the light sweeping the fields and farm houses. Wake up to the same sound and yet the symph...ony of spring birdsong drowns its violence. Going back out into the field, for the third day of evictions of the zad. I love the smell of tear gas in the morning...Yesterday we stopped the cops with their armored cars and drones from destroying the beautiful Vraies Rouge collective, which happens to be where one of our negotiators with the government lives. Destroy the house of those that agreed to sit at the table with you = what idiots !!! The fabulous zad press team used this as the media hook yesterday and we are winning the battle of the story. If enough people get to the zone over the next days we could win the battle on the territory and save the zad . We need rebel everything ... from cooks to medics, fighters to witnesses...this wont be finished before the weekend....you have time to get here...or take solidarity actions...... follow https://enoughisenough14.org/ or @zad_nddl on twitter #zad #nddl
See MoreThis text was written by one of the zad’s affinity groups, the CMDO, and 10,000 copies handed out in a large format newspaper version for the victory celebrations on the 10th of February 2018 on the zone and beyond. It attempts to clarify some of the confusion about what is happening on the ZAD at the moment and present a strategic vision of where next now that the struggle against the airport has been won and the second season of struggle begins.

Our film in english ...... and an invite to victory party !

"I had never come to the zad before" is collaboration between occupants of the zad, film director Leo Leibovici, The laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination a...nd star of "American Horror Story" and "Falling Water", Lizzie Brochéré. The short film invites us on an intimate journey through the liberated territory of the zad of Notre-dames-des-landes, against an airport and its world, in search of hope in these tempestuous times.
It is also an invitation for all to come to the zone on the 10th of Febuary to celebrate the movements victory against the airport with a carnivalesque celebration of 50 years of struggle and the future of the zad. For more details see: www.zadforever.blog
As of yesterday, the airport project is buried forever, supposedly by the decision of a single powerful man, but in fact by the courage, the love and the determination of hundreds of occupants, their thousands of allies and their millions of sympathizers.

Olive Ressler visited the ZAD over summer to make a new film as part of his ongoing project that follows the climate movement in its struggles to dismantle an economic system heavily dependent on fossil fuels: “Everything’s coming together while everything’s falling apart: The ZAD.” Now the film is on our blog.
Don't miss this unique event on the zad 22-23rd August Star Hawk and Isabelle Stengers in discussion and a workshop...
