Dear Zubuchon,

My name is Ian, and I'm writing a formal complaint to your staff named "ian" as well from Zubuchon SM City Cebu....

At approximately 7:30pm on 15 October 2017, my family occupied a table for 4. Our orders were taken by "Khim". It was a pleasant dining experience up until we ordered dessert. At about 8:15pm, I called your server "ian", and we ordered two servings of Silvanas.

Let me then detail in bullet points on what has happened. Please note that for timeline purposes, we have also requested for our check/bill at this point of time.
* When the two orders of silvanas arrived, it was a plate in pairs.
* One was a brown- and cream-colored silvanas. The other plate was both brown-Coloured silvanas.
* As I took a half piece of the cream-coloured silvanas, my Sister curiously asked why the other plate is both brown.
* Your server ian reasoned that the orders come in a pair. So if it was a pair, we wondered why the two plates are not matching.
* Your server has provided some reasons, that in our opinion, was not sensible nor logical. To us, he was making things up. We wouldn’t have enquired more if it was a “good enough” reason.
* As my sister continued to ask, he snatched the plate that I was already eating.
* This was very unprofessional and uncalled for.
* Witnesses are my Father, Mother, Sister and your female cashier this evening. I called out that I think it was a very rude behaviour towards your patrons.
* By then, your manager "Jorge" stepped in and have apologised but "ian" kept reasoning. We have respectfully requested ian to leave as he was already pissing us off.
* I was personally angry with the rude and "bastos" behavior that I have requested the total amount which was around PHP1,300. I gave the female cashier a PHP500 bill and a SGD50 bill. This was my mistake and I changed it to a PHP1,000 bill. I just want to leave your restaurant.
* As I waited outside, I see that your manager Jorge is trying to hold off Ian as he was still speaking to my sister, father and mother. I’m not sure what the discussions were but rest assured that we will not be patronizing your restaurant anymore.
* I also noticed some restaurant diners already looking at our direction by then, because we believe they are also witnesses to this incident.

I honestly commend your manager Jorge and the female cashier as they were apologetic. This is not a comment about “customer is always right”. I personally do not think that’s true. But this comment is about your staff Ian and his rude, inexcusable behavior. I am unsure what his reasons or mindset was during that time. To others, this behavior may be grounds for termination, but I am not calling that out.

Instead, I am awaiting for your response. I have written you an email and you may reply there, or this Facebook account for further enquiries.

Me and my 2 nieces love the boneless lechon which was paired with a platter of garlic rice.. We had our dinner last Feb 03 2018 at around 8pm @ their Escario branch... Staff are friendly and the manag...er took time to ask us if we are Ok... We even had her take some pictures for us while dining... Will definitely go back and of course recommend to others See More

Saltiest lechon I have tasted in my life!

It also has leathery skin that you will choke on if you attempt to eat the slices. Though the meat is pale in taste. We ordered mungo with lechon and it tas...te like it was cooked by beginners and the sotanghon guisado does bot taste much. I am really disappointed!! I think it’s a waste of money, I should have stayed home and cook my own instead! See More

Food is good but the service is sloppy. The service team seemed confused. Ung garlic rice namin was sitting at the counter for a good 3mins kasi the waitress did not know which table the rice was for ...so I had to approach her. This happened during our second visit. My husband and I wanted to see if there's an improvement 2weeks after our 1st try, but to my disappointment nothing changed. Ung unang try namin, the nuts we ordered for take out tagal mabigay sa amin. Lahat ng waiters na dumaan sa tabi namin, nagfollow up kami. We paid already and was just waiting for it. Bukod sa matagal pagbigay ng bill, mas tumagal pa kasi dun sa 1 pack ng nuts.Sobrang lito sila :(. I am hopeful that our next visit wont be as bad as our previous. Good food but service needs improvement. Food is as good as service as well. Seems that staff are confuse on thier fucntions. We can't start eating if there is no rice yet, lalamig na yung ulam wala p...a yung rice. Watching the staff, they don't even know where the rice should go.

You need to level up your game to survive here. After the hype customer might not come back anymore.

As Anthony Bourdain said "the worlds best pig" I love this place and have never had any issues going to any of the locations around Cebu. The lechon is moist and delicious. I love the fried lechon Si...omai and the pinakbet is delicious. I don't know why people say you don't get enough for your money here. 1 kilo is worth every penny and will easily fill 2-3 people. I think the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend eating here if you come to Cebu!!! See More

I'm very dissatisfied from the wrong order taken to how they handled it! Very poor service and low quality of food. From a pregnant customer who just had 8hours fasting and had to wait for 2more hours... before breakfast, it's so traumatic! See More

Was charged twice for our dinner using my debit card.

I intended to give a perfect 5 rating for we seriously enjoyed the dining experience here. Honestly, my partner and I loved the slow-cooked adobo... among others we ordered but the catch here is when I checked my online banking account — I got billed twice for our meal.

The inconvenience of having to deal with my bank is what pisses me off and could easily be avoided if the service people were properly trained for EPS.

I rate them 5 because first, they are so accomodating , they will recommend their bestseller and will asked you how is the food, are you enjoying it. And of course second is their food! Worth the pric...e! Once i visit again Cebu , I will never forget to visit this place again 👍🏻👌🏻😘😊 See More

The staff of the branch near Best Western Lex were very nice especially Jam. You have made us feel the sincerity of the well known Cebuano hospitality. Will definitely be coming back!

Don’t eat at their SM Cebu branch. Just had dinner there. Their wait staff named Ian was very rude. Does not represent the company well.

Staff in Zubuchon Megamall lacks attentiveness. Nagtuturuan pa kung sino kukuha ng order. Food is great, but overall customer experience is less than satisfactory.

There's this one waitress na i asked for ice pero walang nangyari, i also asked her to bill us out pero walang nangyari din. The food is OK.

Just dine in earlier with my family, this rude waitress handed the bill without me asking for it and just put it on our table. Im still waiting for my husband from work so he can dine with us but this... gesture gesture of this waitress named "Desiree" pissed me off. I ask for the manager to just wrap our order and informed him how rude this girl was, he ask for apology but this effing girl ruined my mood. So poor customer service to think that their food is not that impressive. Will not go back. See More

There is so much need for improvement. The price was too expensive for a small serving. The service was also slow. We had to economize on our viand because the rice was served last. We did not even ge...t an apology from any of the staff. I hope the manager or the owner will do something about this. See More

The Lechon was not too good to deserve a 4 or 5 stars but not bad for a 2 or 1 star either. Skin was very crunchy and the meat was tender and juicy. I just find the flavor a bit bland or was it becaus...e they gave us an all meat portion. Their Pinakbet though was one of the best I had. Lastly, it took them so much time to serve our food even if there were only 2 customers that time. Don't know why. See More
